Hi – I have been told that I need to carry SR-22 auto insurance Phoenix. What is it?
Samantha R. – Glendale, AZ
Samantha, SR-22 auto insurance Phoenix is for high-risk drivers who have been arrested for certain traffic violations and usually have had their driver’s licenses taken away. It’s a certificate provided by the DMV usually ordered by the courts. If your driver’s license has been taken away or suspended due to a violation of the law then AZ may require you to get and maintain SR-22 auto insurance Phoenix in order to have your license back.
You can contact your current insurance carrier if you are in need of SR-22 auto insurance Phoenix or you can use the Internet which may provide lower rates.

Help! I am looking for a low auto insurance quote. My husband and I have been laid off and we are trying to cut costs everywhere. What do you recommend to keep our costs down or should we just go without insurance until we have more money?
Abby L. – Phoenix, AZ
Abby,
Getting auto insurance quotes Phoenix can be tough. But whatever you do, DO NOT go without auto insurance. In some states it’s illegal to not have insurance. You never know when you may be in an accident and there are so many things you can be responsible for if you are in one. Here are a few tips:
Call your current carrier and ask if you qualify for any discounts on your auto insurance. Some common discounts include: a good credit record, safe driving record and low mileage driven.
Ask your current carrier for an auto insurance quote with a higher deductible. This may lower your monthly premium and any costs will only be applied if you are actually in an accident.
Then get two additional auto insurance quotes Phoenix. We recommend looking on the internet (you can start by inserting your zip code in the banner below this blog) as well as contacting companies direct. Ask them about discounts and higher deductibles too.
Good luck!

Help! My husband’s 17 year old son is coming to stay with us. He doesn’t have a car and my husband insists on buying him a used one, although I don’t think it’s a good idea. He has a DUI, a few speeding tickets and a ton of parking tickets on his record already! Will he be able to get his own teen auto insurance policy or will he have to go on ours? If he goes on ours, how much more will we have to pay each month?
Martha Y. – Goodyear, AZ
Martha,
It looks like you will have your hands full, but the good news is there are lots of options out there for teen auto insurance Phoenix policies. His policy may have rate increases because of his history and probably won’t be eligible for discounts, but your best bet is to do lots of research. Call your current carrier and ask how much it would be to get him his own policy vs. adding him to yours. Then look online where you can research multiple carriers at the same time. Be sure to have a policy in place before he starts driving any of your cars! Oh, and the parking tickets won’t affect the teen auto insurance Phoenix rate. Just be sure they are all paid or he may be at risk to have his car towed!
